PosteID is an Android app developed by Poste Italiane S.p.A. (Viale Europa, 175 00144 Roma (RM) ITALY).

PosteID first became available on 10 Jul 2013. It is estimated that PosteID has been downloaded between 1000000 and 5000000 times from the Play Store.

PosteID 2.1.7 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to perform I/O operations over NFC.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
